Apple Pie Baking


INGREDIENTS:

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • 7 medium green apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp butter, cubed
  • 2 unbaked pie crusts
  • egg wash for brushing on crust


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat air fryer oven to 375ºF.
  2. Mix together the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Place the apple slices in a large mixing bowl. Toss with the dry ingredients mixture to coat.
  4. Press a pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish. Fill with the apple mixture.
  5. Drizzle the lemon juice over the apples. Sprinkle the cubed butter over top as well.
  6. Place the second pie crust over the filling (you can make a lattice top or simply cut slits to vent the steam). Press edges to seal.
  7. Bake for 55-60 minutes. Let cool before slicing.
